A YouTuber named Haljackey (7.6K subscribers) has found himself trending among the city-building simulation game community. He has been an active player of SimCity 4 and recently uploaded a one-hour-long video revealing that he has created a mega city in the game which, at the time of writing, has nearly 50 million people living in it.

What's more impressive is that the YouTuber has been engaged in the city for a decade (in real life time, of course). The video titled SimCity 4 50 million region, 0-1,000,000+ city has over 5.6K views and nearly 200 comments on it.

Despite the modest numbers on Haljackey's channel, he is no newcomer in the YouTubing scene. He has been creating SimCity-related content for well over a decade now. His most popular video to date is "SimCity 4 UDI" which he uploaded on May 2008 and has garnered over 260K views.

Aside from being an active YouTuber, he has tried his hand at Twitch streaming (222 followers). While he no longer streams SimCity content there, his profile features clips that date as back as 2013.

Exploring YouTuber Haljackey's SimCity 4 project

A YouTuber named Haljackey has reached a personal milestone by uploading a one-hour video in which he explains that his mega city in SimCity 4 has nearly reached a population of 50 million.

In the video, he showcased a smaller region he started with, titled "Oak Ridges," (population >2 million) which took nearly a year to develop. Since then, other parts have spread from there.

Despite playing for over 10 years and his megacity with a population of nearly 50 million, the YouTuber also showcased a vast snowcapped area that he hasn't yet explored. There is potential for development in those areas as well, though it would certainly take a long time.

Haljackey also showcases his work on a new region. In fact, by the end of his one-hour-long playthrough, the population surpassed 50 million. Here's a snapshot of the various kinds of buildings and different types of architecture in his city.

SimCity isn't the only popular city-building game out there. Other titles, such as "Anno 1800" (PC), "Cities: Skylines" (Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC), "Farthest Frontier" (PC) and "Frostpunk" (Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC) are also popular within the city-building gaming community.
