History and political YouTuber Rudyard William Lynch, aka "Whatifalthist," has over 701K followers at the time of writing this article. He mostly uploads videos that focus on various historical events and figures. However, his content has slightly shifted, with him focusing on current political issues, including feminism and recent campaigns in the USA.
Lynch is currently facing some backlash over his latest project. For context, he released a 10-hour-long three-part autobiographical video (now deleted), in which he made some concerning and disturbing revelations about his life. Some of these allegations included his mother "r*ping" him as a child:
"My mother had r*ped me over 40 times in that age range (6-10 years). The details make things even vastly worse. My mother waterboarded me at least two or three times or drowning me in the bath. My mom had forced me to r*pe my own sister and she had forced the babysitter to r*pe me."
Whatifalthist also accused her mother of hitting him with a shover as a kid and hitting his head with a 1000-paged book. He added that this was done "hundreds" of times. A clip from the original video was shared on X. Watch it here:
"Trying to make something go as viral as possible" - Whatifalthist deletes his video, says details were fabricated
History YouTuber Whatifalthist recently released an autobiographical video series on his channel but has since deleted all three videos. In the series, he made several serious claims about his childhood.
Despite the claims made in the videos, on December 27, Whatifalthist posted a lengthy message on X, stating that the videos were created with the intent to go viral and that the details shared were fabricated:
"I was really really stupid here. I was trying to make something go as viral as possible for advertising reasons so I said something as ridiculously over the top as possible as a way to harvest views for my video series and the group."
Whatifalthist added that he purposely exaggerated the details as much as possible to "freak" people out.
"I made a whole multi-hour segment at the end of the video which was as ridiculous as possible to freak people out on purpose. I talk to a beaver puppet, make jokes about masturbating, and talk about the philosophy of magic in it. The point was to show to not take yourself seriously."
He added that he recently had a religious experience, which he misused, causing him to go "crazy."
"What I did here was an insult to God, but how didn't I see it earlier? I developed some weird rationalization about how misusing God's name would somehow allow me to psy-op the public into believing God through showing Leftism's failures above."
Despite the video and the subsequent backlash, Whatifalthist is back on YouTube. He posted a new video titled Shatter the Glass of Modernity on December 29, 2024.
