Popular YouTuber and Twitch star MoistCr1TiKaL (aka Charlie) is taking an infinite break from his podcasts, including The Official Podcast and The Red Thread. The news comes days after his highly controversial debate with Rumble streamer Sneako, where both parties garnered a lot of backlash for their takes on child marriage and underage hormone replacement therapy.

Note: There is no confirmation that MoistCr1TiKaL is taking a break from his normal content creation

According to an announcement on The Official Podcast’s Patreon, MoistCr1TIKaL is taking a break to cut back on his time on the internet, and both podcasts will continue without the content creator.

Sneako, who is no stranger to controversies, reacted to the news on his latest Rumble broadcast, saying:

"Real talk though, pray for Moist. God-pilled people in the chat, prayers for Moist. You know what's funny though, I hope he is doing well and he finds god inshallah. But have you seen the stuff that I went through and the stuff that he went through?"

Sneako compared the backlash to MoistCr1TiKaL's controversial takes to his own experience:

"Look at the difference. I apparently got CTE from Sean Strickland. Got punched in the face by a security guard for trying to sabotage the America First Movement. I got banned everywhere and had all the soy boy hippies documentary channels make videos saying that I am the worst person ever."

Sneako called out "soy boy" channels for not commenting on the Twitch star's break following the debate, claiming that mainstream influencers cannot take any pressure:

"But when Moist [Cr1TIKaL] quits, they don't say a word. All of them. All those soy boy documentary channels dunking on me for millions of views, you remember that? I have been cancelled more than any influencer my size mainstream. And he gets a bit of backlash and he quits. But that's how it is bro with these mainstream people, they can't handle the pressure at all."

Exploring the Sneako debate and how it led to MoistCr1TiKaL taking a hiatus

In the wake of the Ava Kris Tyson grooming controversy, MoistCr1TiKaL and Sneako butted heads for the first time since their famous feud from last year. For those unaware, the two streamers' 2023 feud went viral after a clip of MoistCr1TiKaL dunking on Sneako for talking about firearms garnered widespread attention.

This time, the two debated on trans rights. Sneako raised questions about the ethics behind minors being allowed to use hormone replacement therapy to transition before they turn 18.

MoistCr1TiKaL was in favor of letting minors use HRT with the consent of their families. This take caused quite a bit of backlash on the internet, leading the streamer to issue a clarification.

In a stream after the debate, MoistCr1TiKaL offered clarification on some of the things he said about minors doing HRT:

"There is under no circumstances, any legality behind the kid saying, 'I wanna change genders', and then immediately going and getting their d*ck cut off."

He then claimed that he misunderstood Sneako's statements, thinking that they were hyperbole:

"I thought he was talking about the overall point of a child transitioning which is a years-long process and you can't get that f**king surgery till you are 18. I didn't think that was a literal statement that he was making."

Within a day, a post from the Patreon of The Offical Channel announced that MoistCr1TiKaL would be taking a break from podcasting:

"Effective immediately, Charlie has made the decision to leave both The Official Podcast and Red Thread. He wants to go on an indefinite hiatus to scale back his time spent on the internet."

While there is no indication that the streamer is taking a break from content creation in general, that's what Sneako insinuated in a post he made on X.

"Moist Critikal put out a statement saying he’s quitting the internet after our debate. For years everyone has seen cancel culture attack me and I have never quit. My advice is to never take a break, and never show weakness. Keep your head up, brother," wrote Sneako.

Jackson, a member of The Official Channel, later clarified that MoistCr1TiKaL is not quitting the internet and that he is only taking a break from podcasts.

"Nope! Just to clarify; only talking about the Official branded podcasts (OP, RT). Thanks!," wrote Jackson under a viral Reddit post of the announcement.

The YouTuber himself has yet to publicly address his hiatus from podcasts.
