Popular Twitch streamer VTuber Ironmouse lost two of her YouTube channels in the past couple of weeks. Earlier this month (September 2024), she explained that her VOD channel (IRONMOUSE VODS) had been removed due to seemingly false copyright strikes. She has now revealed how her main channel has faced a similar fate.
The streamer took to her official X.com account to explain that her YouTube channel had been "terminated" from the red platform. Additionally, she mentioned that her legal team was currently working on the issue:
"Incredibly sad and shocked that my main YouTube channel has been terminated. Right now I have a legal team working on things. I'm so sorry to inconvenience everyone who enjoys watching my videos. Hopefully, this can get resolved soon."
Why was Ironmouse's YouTube channel terminated? Reasons explored
VTuber Ironmouse's main YouTube channel, where she shared many of her music projects, has been terminated from the platform. At the time of its removal, the channel had over 1.12 million subscribers.
As of now, there hasn't been an official announcement from YouTube regarding the termination. However, there are strong suggestions that the termination is related to "false" copyright claims made by troll accounts, similar to what she explained during her VOD channel's removal.
The VTuber had earlier spoken extensively about the situation. She explained that the individuals behind the false copyright claims were trying to dox her identity (which she has kept anonymous) by pushing her to appeal the claims, a process that would require her personal information:
"I don't wanna give my personal information out to a stranger to dispute a claim, so my channel is gonna get deleted. That's basically why I am upset...I don't want to dispute the claim because I don't want to put out my personal information. I'm not gonna dispute it. Just gonna accept that my channel is gonna get deleted."

She also discussed her current situation regarding the ban, reiterating that her legal team is in communication with YouTube about the issue:
"We had the music video that just debuted and it's all gone now. At least we have Twitch walkaround to distract us, at least we have the Subathon. It will be okay. Myelegal team is working on it and they are talking to somebody on YouTube directly. So it will be okay.."
On top of this, the VTuber said she has received death threats:
"I have been getting crazy death threats too, it's insane. The past few days, it's been pretty bad. Death threats threats about my career, threats on my health, threats about everything."
Given the questionable nature of the ban, it’s likely that Ironmouse’s channel could be reinstated by YouTube if her legal team can reach an agreement with the platform. Fans will have to wait for further updates regarding the situation.
