On April 25, 2025, DJ Akademiks shared a video on X (@AkademiksTV) showing support for Kanye West. In the video, he says the Kardashian family should let Kanye raise his kids.
Kanye and Kim Kardashian were together from 2012 to 2022 and have four children. Kanye often says he's not allowed to see them and plans to take legal action for custody
Backing Kanye West on the same, DJ Akademiks said:
"Kim K and mo-f*cking Kris Jenner, I rebuke ya'll in the name of Jesus. Allow my man Kanye West now known as Ye to raise his black children...My name is Akademiks and I stand with Ye."
Akademiks added that Kanye should be allowed to raise his kids as a father and that the Kardashians shouldn't be allowed to control "a black man's child". He accused the Kardashians of involving the children in "demonic debauchery" that corrupts their souls.
The podcaster said that he and Ye's supporters won't stop until Kanye gets to raise his kids, adding that Kanye should be involved in the life decisions of his children. Akademiks said that he'll continue to speak up even if nobody else does.

DJ Akademiks' statement follows Kanye's tweets from April 22, 2025, wherein he claimed that he hadn't seen his son Saint this year.
In a series of tweets, the rapper mentioned that he didn't need to just see his children but rather wanted to raise them, stating, "I’m a good dad. I’m a great father to have.”
In another tweet, Ye said that he has to suppress the fact that his kids have been taken away from him while everyone just watches.
Kanye West calls on celebrities to help him meet his children: Details explored
Shortly after claiming that he hadn't met his son Saint and that he wanted to raise his children, Kanye West took to X on April 22, 2025, calling on Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Donald Trump, and Elon Musk.
Kanye questioned the mentioned celebrities on why they were watching and letting Kim Kardashian take his kids away. He claimed that the people he named were going to say that he's acting out because of what he went through in his childhood, depriving him of being a father.
The rapper added:
"As celebrities We are a family in a way, We are all in the same boat. It cuts me to my core that my kids are being indoctrinated to serve ideals to black people. And all these f*cking celebrities just get the popcorn. You guys can make a difference. I’m f*cking shaking typing this."

Ye claimed that he had his rights taken away because he wore a red hat, had a breakdown and was put in the hospital. While Kanye didn't mention the specific incident he was referring to, it is speculated that the "red hat" indicates his support for Trump wearing by a MAGA hat.
As for the part where he mentioned he had a breakdown and was put in the hospital, the rapper might've referred to the time he was hospitalized for a psychiatric emergency in November 2016.
While Kanye West has been claiming that he is kept away from his children, Page Six published photos of the rapper with his kids Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, in Japan. In its January 2025 report, the publication mentioned that Ye visited a 7-Eleven convenience store in Tokyo’s Ginza district with his 3 children.
