Tesla CEO Elon Musk has recently been in headlines after Ashley St. Clair claimed that they had a child together. In an interview published in The Wall Street Journal on April 15, 2025, it was reported that Musk apparently offered Ashley a sum of $15 million. He also offered monthly payments of $100,000, only to ensure that she kept quiet about the alleged child.
Ashley, however, reportedly declined the billionaire's offer. Meanwhile, influencer Ayesha Howard shared her take on this ongoing drama. She commented on the apparent shift in reaction of the black community when it came to responding to such situations. Her Instagram comment read:
"The way Black people’s tone and outlook change—even in the comments—needs to be studied. Y'all fully support this and wouldn’t say a word, but if it was a Black woman, all she wanted was a check. She has no morals. The baby’s fatherless. Crabs in a barrel. It’s sick how Black people operate."
According to a report by HotNewHipHop on April 21, 2025, Ayesha's concern was over the surrounding public support for white women, while bashing black women in a similar case.
Meanwhile, Ashley told The Wall Street Journal that a few days after she revealed that Elon Musk was her child's father, the Tesla CEO revoked his $15 million offer. She also claimed that Musk reduced the monthly amount to $40,000.
Despite the ongoing speculations about the child's paternity, Elon has yet to confirm anything. However, according to The WSJ, the billionaire's reported "probability of paternity” is 99.9999 percent.
Elon Musk had stated that he didn't know if the child was his but was already paying Ashley $2.5 million
Last month, Ashley St. Clair was seen outside her Manhattan apartment selling her black Tesla Model S. She told The Daily Mail on March 31, 2025, that she had to sell the car after Elon allegedly reduced the monthly child support amount.
She told the outlet:
"I need to make up for the 60% cut that Elon made to our son's child support... You can check the stocks, I'm not the only one who is cleaning up after his messes."
Later, on March 31, Elon Musk took to X and shared his side of the story. In a tweet, he claimed that he wasn't sure if the child belonged to him, but stated that he was still paying money to Ashley.
The tweet by Elon read:
"I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year."
Ashley St. Clair responded to Elon's remark, clarifying that he wasn't "sending" her money, but was paying child support for his own child, who, according to her, was named Romulus. Ashley also alleged that the billionaire did not want to take a paternity test. At the end of the tweet, Ashley even called Musk a "petulant man-child."
Ashley also accused Elon Musk of spreading "derogatory" narratives about her on social media platforms. Several narratives about the alleged monetary settlements between Elon and Ashley are continuing to surface. On April 17, 2025, The People cited an insider, saying that the billionaire had similar arrangements with other mothers of his kids, as well.
Elon Musk already has 13 children with three different women including his ex-wife Justine Wilson, Grimes, and Shivon Zilis. Ashley's child will be the billionaire's 14th child, if the paternity gets confirmed.
