“Next he’s gonna say the moon’s a hologram”- Netizens react to Wiz Khalifa claiming the Earth is flat

American rapper Wiz Khalifa recently shared that he sees the Earth as flat. According to Billboard, the 37-year-old artist admitted that he is a flat-earther, meaning a person who believes that the world is flat.

Born Cameron Jibril Thomaz, the artist appeared on The Joe Budden Podcast and revealed what he thinks the answer to the age-old question “Is the Earth flat or round?” is. While discussing a variety of topics, the See You Again rapper, who recently rolled out his latest album Kush + Orange Juice 2, participated in a debate of Flat Earth Theory & space exploration.

After his in-person talk went live on the popular podcast’s exclusive Patreon episode, a clip of Wiz Khalifa, claiming the Earth is flat, went viral in no time. The clip sees The Joe Budden Podcast co-host, Melyssa Ford, asking him if he thinks the Earth is round or not and what shape the planet is. The artist replied:

“I would say no… I just believe that we live on a flat plane, like a huge flat plane.”

On April 22, 2025, X user @FearedBuck shared a video of the rapper’s appearance on the podcast and wrote:

“Wiz Khalifa believes the Earth is flat”

Netizens were quick to react to the video, with one X user writing:

“Next he’s gonna say the moon’s a hologram and planes just bounce off the dome.”

Fans of Wiz Khalifa also shared their thoughts on his claims and wrote:

“He never gave off the intellectual type,” a fan added.
“I love Wiz, so ima look past this one,” another wrote.

While many Twitter users flooded the comments saying he is wrong, some of his fans also came to his defence.

“Aye man everybody is entitled to their own opinion even if they right or wrong,” an X user added.

Meanwhile, on April 22, 2025, JBTV Community also reacted to Wiz Khalifa’s claims of Earth being flat. Referring to Earth’s shape being round on the cover of his latest album, Kush + Orange Juice 2, the account shared an image and wrote:

Why does Wiz Khalifa believe the Earth is flat?

According to Wiz, he believes the flat Earth theory is real because of his experience with travelling. However, when guest host and academic Marc Lamont Hill questioned him if he had reached the edge of the Earth, the rapper clarified:

“Nah, it’s not that. I think that there’s more masses than just what we see because it was one thing before and it spread out.”

The American singer continued to reason his belief and further continued:

“Because when I travel, the routes that we take and how we do it, it’s not possible to go up and down. You’re just going straight. That’s the only reason I think that.”
