Gypsy-Rose Blanchard recently revealed that her baby daughter Aurora, whom she shares with her partner, Ken Urker, has not inherited a medical condition that she has. According to People Magazine, the reality TV star was first diagnosed with a rare genetic condition, microdeletion 1Q21.1, in 2012.
On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard shared on Instagram that her 4-month-old daughter has tested negative for this condition. The 33-year-old mentioned:
“Great news about Aurora! We're overjoyed to share that our sweet girl, Aurora, has tested negative for the rare condition known as microdeletion 1q21.1.”

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is "relieved" about her daughter not getting her rare genetic condition
In a statement shared with People Magazine on April 23, 2025, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard talked about how she felt knowing that her daughter has not inherited her condition. She told the news outlet:
"We are so relieved to know that she is healthy and is meeting all of her developmental milestones perfectly."
She also mentioned her diagnosis, stating:
“I was tested in 2012 and was positive, and again last year in October and again came back positive.”
Blanchard further said that there was a "50-50 chance" that her daughter could have inherited her rare genetic condition. She added that her future children "won't have to worry about getting the condition" that she has.
