Alysha Clark is a 5-foot-11 veteran small forward for the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA as of 2024. Born on July 7, 1987, in Denver, Colorado, Clark was drafted 17th overall by the San Antonio Silver Stars in the 2010 WNBA Draft but did not play in her first two seasons. She made her WNBA return in 2012 with the Seattle Storm, where she had an illustrious career spanning 9 seasons, winning two WNBA Championships in 2018 and 2020. In 2021, Clark signed with the Washington Mystics but missed the season due to injury. She then joined the Las Vegas Aces as a free agent in 2023. That year, she won the WNBA Sixth Player of the Year award and also won her third WNBA Championship with the Aces in 2023.

In addition to her WNBA career, Alysha Clark has competed abroad in various leagues. She has won three Israeli Championship cups as well as the Women’s French Basketball League title. Outside of basketball, Clark is known for her community involvement and social justice work, particularly focusing on education and youth.

Alysha Clark's college basketball career spanned two universities — Belmont University from 2005 to 2007, and Middle Tennessee State University from 2008 to 2010.

As a freshman (2005-06), Alysha Clark made history by becoming the first player in Atlantic Sun Conference history to win both Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors in the same season. She was also named to the All-Atlantic Sun First Team and the league's All-Freshman Team. In her sophomore year (2006-07), Clark once again earned Atlantic Sun Player of the Year, becoming only the fifth player in conference history to win the award in back-to-back seasons. Clark led Belmont Bruins to its first NCAA Tournament appearance and reached 1,000 career points faster than any player in school history.

After transferring to Middle Tennessee State University in 2007, Clark was redshirted for a year in 2007-08 due to NCAA transfer rules. When Clark returned to the court in 2008-09 for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, she became the first player in NCAA history to win Player of the Year awards in two different conferences, receiving the honor in both the Atlantic Sun and Sun Belt Conferences. Clark also led the nation in scoring with 27.5 points per game and set a school record with 50 points in a single game against Troy. In her final collegiate season (2009-10), Alysha Clark led the nation in scoring again with 28.3 points per game and topped the Sun Belt Conference in rebounding with 11.6 rebounds per game. In recognition of her incredible college career, Alysha Clark was inducted into the Middle Tennessee Hall of Fame in 2020. Apart from her athletic exploits, Alysha Clark majored in Electronic Media Journalism during her time in college.

Alysha Clark High School

Alysha Clark attended Mt. Juliet High School, where she was a three-year letterwinner under coach Chris Fryer. During her senior year, Clark was one of the top players in Tennessee, as she was named a WBCA High School Honorable Mention All-American and was also selected as an AAU All-American. In 2005, Clark was named Tennessee’s 3A Miss Basketball and was chosen as the Midstate Player of the Year by the Tennessean. She also received national recognition, being named the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year.

During her senior season, she averaged 24 points and 11.6 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 78% from the free-throw line and 67% from the field. Her outstanding performance earned her MVP honors in the state tournament and a spot on the Tennessee All-Star Team.
