Atlanta Dream team

The Atlanta Dream is a professional basketball team based in the Atlanta metropolitan area, competing in the WNBA's Eastern Conference. Established in 2008, the Dream is not affiliated with the NBA's Hawks, despite sharing the same market. Although they have yet to win a WNBA championship, the team has claimed three Conference titles in 2010, 2011, and 2013.

Key players like Angel McCoughtry, Shoni Schimmel, Finals MVP Betty Lennox, and Brazilian star shooting guard Izi Castro Marques played vital roles in building the team’s early success, under the leadership of head coach Marynell Meadors. In the 2024 season, players Rhyne Howard, Allisha Gray, and Tina Charles are working hard to guide the Dream back into championship contention. However, as of September 14, 2024, the team stands bottom of the Eastern Conference at 12-25 and remains far from playoff contention.
