She made her WNBA debut when the Chicago Sky picked her in the second round as the 17th pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft. Hamilton has eight years of experience in the WNBA and has played for the Connecticut Sun in 2018, the Indiana Fever in 2019, and the Atlanta Dream in 2020.

Hamilton attended Rutgers University, where she was named to the First-team All-Big Ten in 2015 and the Big East All-Freshman Team in 2012. For her leadership abilities, she was awarded the Dawn Staley Community Leadership Award in 2022. In addition to receiving the WNBA Most Improved Player award in 2020, she was the 2023 Commissioner's Cup Champion. In 2021, she was selected as a member of the WNBA All-Star Team. Hamilton has also played overseas in different leagues and brought home a gold medal from the 2022 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Australia.
