Brionna Jones is a professional basketball player from America who was born on December 18, 1995, in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. As of September 2024, she plays as a center for the Connecticut Sun, and for the USK Prague in the Czech Women’s Basketball League. She made her WNBA debut in 2017 after the Connecticut Sun selected her as the eighth overall pick. Jones was awarded the 2021 WNBA Most Improved Player Award due to her improvement in games and her potential. She was honored with a spot on the 2021 WNBA All-Defensive Second Team. Jones played overseas basketball for the PBK Nadezhda Orenburg, a Russian team from 2017 to 2019. Besides WNBA, Jones also participated in the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup, where America won the gold medal and she represented the USA Women's Basketball Team. She won the 2021 FIBA 3x3 Women’s Americup and the 2015 World University Games.

During the 2024 season, Brionna Jones averaged 13.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game. She shot an impressive 53.9% from the field and 73.8% from the free-throw line, playing 27.2 minutes per game across 40 games. Her strong performance earned her a spot in the third All-Star Game of her career.

Brionna Jones graduated from the University of Maryland. She majored in kinesiology. Jones played for the University of Maryland from 2013-14 to 2016-17, where her total number of points scored was 1,928, and her total number of rebounds collected was 1,209. She helped her university to reach the semifinals of the NCAA tournament both in 2014 and 2015. She was also named the ESPNW National Player of the Week in 2017, the Naismith National Player of the Week, and the Big Ten Tournament MOP.
