The 6-foot-9 center, Brittney Griner plays for the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA. In the 2024 season, Griner averaged 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 57.9% from the field. She also made a career-high nine three-pointers in the 2024 season and played a vital role in former team Phoenix Mercury’s playoff push after missing some games early in the season.

Griner played college basketball for Baylor University and won the NCAA Tournament. She also won four consecutive Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year awards, NCAA Most Outstanding Player, two times AP Player of the Year, and two National Player of the Year (Naismith) and to top it all off, she was named one of the best high school talents in US Sports history by MaxPreps. Before College basketball, Griner had a dominant high school career at Nimitz High School. As a senior, she led the Nimitz Cougars to the state championship final and set records by averaging 7.7 blocks per game. She was named WBCA High School Player of the Year in 2009 and played in the WBCA High School All-American Game.
