Chennedy Carter is a women's basketball player who plays for the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. She was born on 14 November 1998 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.A. She began her basketball life at Mansfield Timberview High School and then shifted to college at the Texas A&M Aggies women's basketball team where she made her name as one of the best point guards in the country. She joined the college as the highest-ranked women’s basketball player in the country.

In 2022 Carter was selected 4th overall by the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA draft. In her rookie season, Carter showed her worth in the league by becoming a high-volume scorer and made it to the WNBA All-Rookie Team. In the following year, Carter was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks where she finished with 8.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Currently, Carter is playing for the Chicago Sky under head coach Teresa Weatherspoon. She has also played in the Turkish league with Bursa Buyuksehir Belediyespor.

Chennedy Carter joined the Texas A&M Aggies women's basketball team in 2017. In her freshman year, she made it to the All-SEC Tournament team and led her team to the second round of the NCAA tournament. In the tournament, she averaged 31.3 points per game which was the the fourth-most in tournament history.

In her sophomore year, Chennedy Carter was named to the Second-Team All-America by the USBWA and received All-America honors from both the AP and the WBCA. She set a Texas A&M single-season record by averaging 23.3 points per game. Additionally, she earned First Team All-SEC honors for the second consecutive season.

In her senior year, Carter made it to the All-SEC First Team for the third consecutive season and became the lead scorer for the team averaging 21.3 points per game in 62 matches.

Other than playing basketball she completed a college degree in leadership with minors in youth development and sports management.

Chennedy Carter went to Mansfield Timberview High School where she averaged 20.3 points per game in her senior season and made her name in the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic. For her school's success, she got the recognition Worth Star-Telegram Player of the Year honors and a two-time all-state selection at Timberview State. Those extraordinary achievements got her the 6th as an overall player and 2nd as the point guard in the 2017 class by ESPNW HoopGurlz.
