Coach Stephanie White’s Connecticut Sun will look to put a spanner in the works of the Chicago Sky's playoff hopes when the two Eastern Conference teams go head-to-head on Friday. This is the third of the four matchups between them this season. The Sun have already won the first two games, both played in Chicago.
It's fair to say that the Sky have had a mixed bag in terms of results in this WNBA campaign. However, after the break, they suffered two losses against the Phoenix Mercury and secured a victory over the LA Sparks, which has left them in the last playoff spot (eighth) on the table.
Things don't get any easier for Chicago next week either, with the reigning champions Las Vegas Aces and Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever's upcoming visit to Wintrust Arena just another tough run of matchups. It is vitally important that the Sky build some confidence and need to start picking up wins before they find themselves out of the playoff bracket.
The Sun, on the other hand, have been a little more consistent lately. They've lost to the Atlanta Dream and the New York Liberty in recent outings, beating the LA Sparks and the Dallas Wings in between. With defeats coming after every victory, a win at home against the Sky could prove to be a result that kickstarts some consistency.

The Sky will once again be without Elizabeth Williams, who continues to nurse a knee injury.
Having kept rotation to a minimum in recent weeks, coach Teresa Weatherspoon is unlikely to make many changes on Friday. Angel Reese, Kamilla Cardoso, Michaela Onyenwere, Chennedy Carter and Lindsay Allen are likely figures to be featured in the starting five.

The Sun have a similarly light injury list, with just guard Tiffany Mitchell listed as unavailable due to an illness.
Although Tyasha Harris started over DeWanna Bonner in the previous game, but Bonner will start for Sun today. Coach Stephanie White will start Harris once again along with Alyssa Thomas, DeWanna Bonner, Brionna Jones, and DiJonai Carrington.
Chicago Sky vs. Connecticut Sun: What to expect
Angel Reese & Co. must step up and make a difference this time for the Sky, as they're in serious trouble of seeing their young and talented squad fall out of the postseason picture.
DiJonai Carrington’s 19-point outing against the Sparks should give her a whole lot of confidence. She hopes to carry this form into the game and help the Connecticut Sun find their rhythm.
The contest takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena, and the hosts will head into the game as favorites based on their standing in the WNBA table, recent results, and home-court advantage.
