The Wings are one of the most inconsistent teams in the WNBA. They beat the Las Vegas Aces 93-90 on Aug. 27 before pounding the Minnesota Lynx 94-76 two nights later. But Dallas couldn’t sustain that sizzling stretch, losing the next two games to the Indiana Fever and the Washington Mystics.

When Dallas’ defense is on point, it can beat anybody. The Wings’ 110.3 is the worst in the WNBA by a wide mile. If they want to make the playoffs, they should play with more effort, hustle and consistency defensively.

Dallas’ biggest weakness is Atlanta’s strength. The Dream’s 100.5 defensive rating ranks fourth in the league. The offense has been Atlanta’s kryptonite, its 95.2 offensive rating is the worst in the WNBA.
