Born on September 17, 2001, Elizabeth Ann Kitley is a promising talent for the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA. She began her athletic journey to become a pro basketball player at Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. In high school, she initially played basketball, softball, and volleyball before basketball became her primary focus due to her father's influence. Kitley’s father, Ralph, played professional basketball in Germany and Brazil after a successful college career at Wake Forest.

During Kitley's sophomore high school year, she led Northwest Guilford to its first state championship at the 4A tournament and earned MVP honors in the title game. She repeated this feat in her junior season, guiding her team to another state title and again being named MVP. Kitley is a dominant big who impressed everyone with her ability to be a rim protector. Despite suffering a torn ACL during an Amateur Athletic Union game before her senior season, Kitley was still regarded as a five-star recruit.

Elizabeth Kitley college was Virginia Tech University. She committed to the college in 2019 and she went on to represent the Virginia Tech Hokies women’s basketball for five seasons.

Elizabeth Kitlery debuted with the Virginia Tech Hokies during the 2019/20 season as a freshman. Her impressive basketball skills on the court led her to be declared an ACC Freshman of the Year in 2020. Furthermore, she was also included in the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2020.

Kitley kept up her consistent playing skills throughout her sophomore 2020/21 season. After the end of the season, she was honored as a First Team All-ACC member in 2021.

Elizabeth Kitley was not able to give her best efforts after being sidelined because of a right shoulder injury as a junior in the 2021/22 season. Nevertheless, she impressed the audience in the few games that she played. Resultantly, she was declared a second-time member of First Team All-ACC in 2022. Besides, she was also the ACC Player of the Year, a member of the WBCA Coaches All-American and Third Team All-American - AP and USBWA in 2022.

As a senior in the 2022/23 season, Kitley was notable for her season-high 29 points in a winning game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Furthermore, she also led her team to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament in 2023. For her efforts, she became the ACC Player of the Year and WBCA Coaches All-American in 2023. Furthermore, she was also honored as a Second Team All-American - AP & USBWA in 2023. Then, Kitley was named ACC Player of the Year yet again in 2024.

Throughout five seasons and 151 games later, Kitley averaged 17.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.2 blocks per game. She is also shooting 55.2% from the field, including 28.6% from deep.

Elizabeth Kitley High School Basketball Career

Elizabeth Kitley attended Northwest Guilford High School in North Carolina and played varsity basketball for the Northwest Guilford Vikings. As a sophomore on her team, she led them to win their first state championship in Class 4A. Consequently, she was declared the MVP of the tournament.

In her junior year, Kitley again led the Vikings to become the state champions and was declared MVP of the championship game. Unfortunately, a torn ACL sidelined her from her senior season, and after surgery, she managed to play only the two final games of the season. At the end of her high school career, she committed to Virginia Tech.
