Ezi Magbegor is a professional basketball player who plays as a center for the Seattle Storm. Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Magbegor moved to Australia in her childhood and started her professional basketball career with Canberra Capitals. The young center has also been a focal part of the Australian National team, winning three FIBA World Cup medals (Silver in 2014 and Bronze in 2018 and 2022) and an Olympic Bronze in the 2024 Paris Olympics. She recorded a double-double of 30 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three blocks in the bronze medal match against Belgium.
Seattle Storm signed her to a one-year contract extension mid-season after a positive start to the 2024 season. She has recorded seven double-doubles in the 2024 season. In her recent EuroLeague season (2023-24) with the USK Prague, Magbegor was the leading shot-blocker and third in rebounds per game and led them to the semi-finals. She also made the All-EuroLeague first team for her performance and led the Czechia side to the league title.
In the 2022-23 EuroLeague season with Sopron Basket, Magbegor averaged 11.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1,8 blocks per game. She led them to the quarter-finals where they lost to the eventual champions Fenerbahce Safiport.
