Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark was an absolute revelation in her rookie season in the WNBA. Aside from being an exceptional hooper, she's a well-known Kansas City Chiefs superfan.

Ahead of the Iowa Hawkeyes' 2023 national championship game against LSU, Swift was asked by the media for her thoughts on the game tickets outpacing Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour.' She responded:

"Hey, I’m going to Taylor Swift in June, too. That’s pretty awesome."

When asked about a trip on stage or backstage she responded:

“That would be cool,” Clark said. “Hopefully she likes women’s basketball. She should stay for the game tomorrow. How about that?”

The national championship game didn't go the way of Clark and the Hawkeyes, as they lost to LSU by a 102-85 scoreline. While Swift was also not able to attend the game, an off-court situation in the NFL that year was well-received by Clark.

Given her dual Swift and Chiefs fandoms, it was to Clark's excitement when reports of Taylor Swift dating Travis Kelce were confirmed. In September 2023, Clark took to X to welcome Swift to Chiefs Kingdom:

"Taylor Swift welcome to the good side #chiefskingdom."

That wasn't all, as Clark has now also met Swift, which was facilitated by Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. While critics online might have been tempted to accuse Clark of jumping on the Chiefs bandwagon, with the franchise aiming to three-peat in 2024, posts made the rounds stopping any talk before it could really get started.

Caitlin Clark's love for the Kansas City Chiefs

Caitlin Clark has never hidden her love for the reigning Super Bowl champions. Clark has often taken to X to hail the team, and in November a fan account combined posts and photos of her wearing Chiefs merchandise.

Clark was delighted on Sunday when the Chiefs bagged their ninth-straight AFC West title. Meanwhile, the reigning Rookie of the Year is gearing up for the new WNBA season. And while naturally, there might be the pressure to prove that she is not a "one-season wonder," she is used to this by now.

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever open up the new season with a blockbuster game against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky.
