Indiana Fever vs Minnesota Lynx: Preview

Indiana's players will hit the court after a five-day rest. Caitlin Clark and Co. last played on Sunday, securing a 92-75 win over the Seattle Storm. The Fever has had an impressive start to the second half of the season, winning both of its games against strong opponents.

Christie Sides' team is currently ranked seventh overall in the league and third in the Eastern Conference standings with a 13-15 record. Indiana is one of the better offensive teams in the league, averaging 82.7 points per game. Furthermore, their field goal percentage of 44.6% is the joint-best alongside league leaders New York Liberty.

Caitlin Clark leads the team in scoring with 17.8 ppg and in 8.3 apg. Kelsey Mitchell (17.7) and Aliyah Boston (14.0) have also been consistent with their scoring this season.

On the flip side, the Minnesota Lynx will be on a back-to-back against the Fever. The Lynx registered a resounding 87-74 win over defending champions Las Vegas Aces on Friday.

Cheryl Reeve's team has been firing on all cylinders since the regular season resumed after the 2024 Paris Olympics break with a 4-0 record. Minnesota is currently ranked third overall in the league and first in the Western Conference standings with a 21-8 record.

The franchise is led by MVP candidate Napheesa Collier, who dropped 27 points, 18 rebounds and five assists against the Aces on Friday. The Paris Olympics gold medal winner had more rebounds than the entire Las Vegas Aces (17) combined.

Indiana Fever vs Minnesota Lynx: Predicted Starting 5s

Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Katie Lou Samuelson, NaLyssa Smith and Aliyah Boston.

Minnesota Lynx: Bridget Carleton, Napheesa Collier, Alanna Smith, Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams.

Indiana Fever vs Minnesota Lynx: Prediction

The game promises to be a cracking contest between two in-form teams. While the Lynx boast a better roster and record, the Fever have found a nice rhythm after the initial struggles.

One advantage for the Fever is their rest, a luxury the Lynx won't have. Cheryl Reeve's squad is likely to be fatigued, playing on a back-to-back.

Expect Caitlin Clark to guide Indiana to a nail-biting victory over Minnesota, with the winning margin being less than five points.
