Seattle Storm returning star Gabby Williams is not available to play against the Washington Mystics on Monday. According to ESPN, Williams is listed as out. Williams recently found her way back into the WNBA after the French international delivered a spectacular performance against the USA Women's National Basketball Team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Last Tuesday, the Seattle Storm announced that they would be acquiring Williams, ending her time as a free agent. Williams was a key contributor to the French Women's national team and their journey to the gold medal game at the most prestigious international stage. She averaged 15.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game at the tournament.

After a 19-point, seven-rebound and two-assist performance by Williams, France lost the gold medal game by a slim margin of a single point (66-67). However, the former Chicago Sky player received immense praise for her performance in the entire campaign.

Fans started to question her absence from the world's biggest women's basketball league and the Storm did not waste any time to bring her back into their talent-packed roster. Williams has signed a deal for the rest of the season and this will be her third season with the franchise.

Angel Reese tries to persuade Gabby Williams to join the Chicago Sky

Star rookie Angel Reese tried to persuade the French international to sign for the Chicago Sky. Reese made a post on X, formerly Twitter asking Gabby Williams if she would like to rejoin her team.

"Ok now that the game is over, would you like to be a part of the Chicago Sky again???," Reese wrote.

However, the French international turned the rookie down with a polite response in the comments section. Williams counter-questioned Reese and asked her to play for another organization if she wanted to play with her.

The Sky rookie reposted the comment with a sigh. Williams then touched on her sour past with the Sky telling the rookie that the franchise did her dirty.

Gabby WIlliams' journey in the WNBA started with the Chicago Sky after the franchise drafted her as the fourth overall pick in the 2018 draft. However, after a controversy involving her commitment to the French national team, she was traded to the Sparks and eventually found her way to the Seattle Storm.
