
Ja'Leah Williams is an American College basketball player who plays college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals. Born on February 11, 2002, Williams was born in Pompano Beach, Florida, and her basketball journey began in her high school days. Williams attended Blanche Ely High School, and in 2019-20, she was named the Sun Sentinel Broward County Class 7A Player of the Year. In her junior year, she averaged 18.0 points, to go along with eight dimes and five steals per game. In her senior year, she led her team to its first state championship since 1992 as the captain.
After finishing her high school career, Ja’Leah Williams attended the University of Miami and played for their women's basketball team, i.e. Miami Hurricanes. In her freshman year with the Hurricanes, Williams ranked third on the team in terms of points and rebounds as she averaged 7.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. She also led the Hurricanes in the number of total steals made with 65. She also made it to the 2022 ACC All-Freshman Team in her first year. In her sophomore year, the Florida-born guard started all 35 games and had a stat line of 6.5 points, 3.1 boards, and 2.7 assists per game. After her junior year with the Hurricanes, Williams transferred to the Louisville Cardinals Women's basketball team, where she played her final season in 2024/25
