Born on May 10, 1995, Karlie Samuelson is a shooting guard known for her excellent 3-point shooting. Despite going undrafted in the 2017 WNBA Draft, she went on to build a successful career in both the WNBA and overseas. Her pro journey started in Italy with Pallacanestro Vigarano, where she played one season (2017–2018). She then joined the Los Angeles Sparks in 2018, followed by brief stints with the BC Castors Braine in Belgium (2018–2019) and the Dallas Wings. Her stint with CB Avenida (2019-2022) in Spain was the most successful, where she won two Spanish National League titles, in 2021 and 2022. In 2022–23, she played for the Australian WNBL club Townsville Fire.
Samuelson returned to the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2023 WNBA season and enjoyed her career-best season. She played 34 games and ranked sixth in the league for 3-point shooting at 42.6%, averaging 7.7 points per game. In 2023, Karlie Samuelson joined the London Lions, where she was named the EuroCup Finals MVP after averaging 17.5 points in the finals and leading the Lions to the 2024 EuroCup championship. Currently, Samuelson plays for the Washington Mystics in the WNBA and Çukurova Basketbol in Turkey.
