The Las Vegas Aces take on the New York Liberty in the second round of the WNBA playoffs in a matchup that pits Kelsey Plum and Sabrina Ionescu against each other. This promises to be a highly entertaining matchup between two of the league's most talented guards.
Both Las Vegas and New York won their opening round playoff encounters and Plum and Ionescu are off to strong starts. Plum recorded a game-high 29 points in her team's 83-76 win on Tuesday against the Seattle Storm. Ionescu is averaging 26.5 points and 7.0 assists over her first two games.
The Aces faced the Liberty in last season's WNBA finals but will have to get past the No. 1 seed once again this year in the semifinals if they hope to have any chance of defending their title.
