The New York Liberty took a 2-0 lead in their playoff series against the Las Vegas Aces following an 88-84 win.
A'ja Wilson scored 24 points on 11-of-18 shooting while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing four assists for the Aces. Kelsey Plum added 17 points with six rebounds and three assists.
The Liberty's Big Three scored in double digits, with Sabrina Ionescu leading the way with 24 points, nine rebounds and five assists while Breanna Stewart added 15 and Jonquel Jones chipped in with 14.

Becky Hammon's changes paid off, as Alysha Clark scored eight points in the first quarter. Chelsea Gray added 10 to lead the Aces while Jackie Young added six. Betnijah Laney-Hamilton and Breanna Stewart counter attacked with six and four points, respectively, in a much closer start to the game. The Aces finished the first period up 27-22.
The Liberty started the second quarter showing more aggressiveness, even making Hammon call a timeout two minutes into the second period. Tiffany Hayes showed up with seven points, while Kayla Thornton and Courtney Vandersloot responded with nine and seven points, respectively.
Sabrina Ionescu forced a turnover after making a 3-pointer to give the Liberty a 46-40 lead at halftime.
The third quarter started with the Aces trying to cut the lead. A'ja Wilson finished with six points but the Aces couldn't do much and lost the third quarter 23-22.
Jonquel Jones, Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu held off the Aces in the fourth.
Once the five-minute mark hit, the stars of each team started going at it. Alysha Clark showed signs of life again, scoring four points in the final two minutes.
Sabrina Ionescu didn't back down from the challenge, but committed a turnover with over 30 seconds left on the clock and then a foul with 16.9 seconds on the clock. After a couple of fouls and turnovers, the Liberty secured the win behind Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart's free throws.
