Marina Mabrey was born on September 14, 1996, in Belmar, New Jersey, U.S., to parents Patti and Roy Mabrey. She was raised in Belmar, New Jersey. She has four siblings, Ryan, Roy, Michaela, and Dara. Mabrey graduated from the Manasquan High School in Manasquan, New Jersey. Mabrey is an American professional basketball player and was the 19th overall pick in the second round by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2019 WNBA Draft.
She represented the USA Women's Basketball Team in the Under-18 Championship for Women in 2014 and won the gold medal. She also won a bronze medal at the 2022–23 EuroLeague Women and a gold medal in Lega Basket Femminile in 2023 with her team, Beretta Famila Schio. She attended the University of Notre Dame in 2015 and won the 2018 NCAA Championship. Mabrey was named to the McDonald's All-American game in 2015, the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2016, and the Second Team All-WNBL the in 2021-22 season. She was the Douglas BBL Elite Division Champion in 2020.
