Born on April 19, 2002, Ekh’s basketball journey began in her home nation of Sweden. In the 2018-19 season, Ekh won the U19 Swedish Championship with her high school, Riksbasketgymnasiet Luleå in Västeras, Sweden. After her great performances throughout that season, she was named MVP and also earned an All-Star team selection. Ekh began her collegiate career in the U.S.A at the Michigan State University where the Swedish star played for two seasons. In her two years with Michigan State, the 6-foot-0 guard averaged 11.8 points per outing to go along with three rebounds a game and two assists. In 2022, she was also selected to a Big Ten All-Freshman Team.

After her two seasons with Michigan State, the Swedish Ekh transferred to Virginia to play for the Virginia Tech Hokies women's basketball team. In her junior year, Ekh started all 33 games with the Hokies and averaged 10.4 points per game while having 43% field goal percentage and shooting an outstanding 40% from behind the arc for the year. In her senior year with the Hokies in 2024-25, Ekh further improved her game and averaged 11.9 points as she shot 39% from the three-point land. She led the team with 63 made 3's for the year. In her senior year, Ekh had a double-figure game in scoring in 21 out of 32 games she played.
