The 2024 WNBA Finals comes down to the last game of the season as the series between the Minnesota Lynx and New York Liberty reaches Game 5. The Lynx forced the final game after a heartstopping 82-80 win in Game 4. Sabrina Ionescu missed the shot that would have given the Liberty their first-ever championship.
Unlike Game 3, the fourth game of the WNBA Finals was close from start to finish. Minnesota held on in the final possession of the game to tie the series 2-2. Kayla McBride had a team-high 19 points, while Napheesa Collier put up a quiet game of 14 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals.
On the other hand, all LIberty starters scored in double figures but it wasn't enough to pull off the win. Jonquel Jones had a game-high 21 points, while Breanna Stewart struggled with just 11 points on 5-for-21 shooting. Ionescu also had a rough game, scoring just 10 points after going 5-for-15.
