The 6-foot-2 forward, Natasha Howard is a three-time WNBA Champion and a two-time All-Star. She was drafted as the fifth overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2014 WNBA Draft. Since being drafted, Howard has played for five franchises in the WNBA across both conferences.

Howard’s breakthrough season came in 2018 when she joined the Seattle Storm after winning the 2017 WNBA Championship with the Minnesota Lynx. In three seasons with the Storm, Howard won two WNBA Championships, the Defensive Player of the Year award (2019), the Most Improved Player of the Year award (2018), and her first All-Star appearance. She also earned All-League honors and made two consecutive All-Defensive first team and All-WNBA first team. After leaving the Storm, Howard played for the New York Liberty and made her second All-Star appearance in 2022. She was then traded to the Dallas Wings on January 16, 2023, and has made over 50 appearances averaging 16.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Natasha Howard College

Natasha Howard played college basketball for Florida State University and joined the Florida State Seminoles Women’s basketball team, led by head coach Sue Semrau. She won several individual honors on the conference level, making three consecutive All-ACC teams and two ACC All-Defensive teams.

In her freshman season (2010-11), Howard averaged 10.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game, shooting 46% from the field. She made an instant impact on the program and made the ACC All-Freshman team by scoring the fourth most points (339), tied-first in offensive rebounds (84), second in total rebounds (210) and steals (36) on the Seminoles roster. She also played in the NCAA Tournament and lost in the second round, averaging 4.5 points and 9.0 rebounds.

In her sophomore year (2011-12), Howard improved her efficiency from both the field and the free-throw line, cutting down on her three-point shot attempts from 1.8 to 0.7 per game. She averaged 12.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game, shooting 48.7% from the field. Her dominant display on the boards had her ranked second in total rebounds (282) and rebounds per game (9.1) in the whole conference and she made the ACC All-Defense and the All-ACC third team. She led the Seminoles roster in steals (46) and rebounds (282) while finishing as the third-highest scorer (379) on the team.

In her junior year (2012-13), Howard averaged 12.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 48.6% from the field. She was ranked fourth in blocks (49), 11th in total rebounds (248), 14th in steals (59) and 15th in total points (418) in the conference and made the All-ACC first team and the ACC All-Defensive team. She also played in the NCAA Tournament and lost in the second round, averaging 7.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 3.0 blocks per game.

In her senior year (2013-14), Howard had the best season of her college career, averaging 20.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 2.3 blocks per game, shooting 59.4% from the field. She was ranked third in points (675), total rebounds (307) and blocks (76) in the conference, second in offensive rebounds (122) and fourth in steals (68). The forward was named on the ACC All-Defensive team and All-ACC first team. She also played in the NCAA Tournament and lost in the second round, averaging 9.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 block per game.

Natasha Howard played high school basketball for Morrison R. Waite High School in Toledo, Ohio. In her senior year at high school (2009-10), Howard won the Ohio Ms. Basketball award and was named to the McDonald's All-American team.
