Natasha Howard is an American power forward who plays for the Dallas Wings in the WNBA. At 6 ft 2 inches tall known as one of the best two-way players in the league. She began her basketball journey at Morrison R. Waite High School and later played for the Florida State Seminoles in college. Her high school achievements earned her a spot in the 2010 McDonald’s All-American game where she became MVP in the tournament. During her time at Florida State, she was recognized as a two-time First-team All-ACC selection in 2013 and 2014 and was named to the ACC All-Defensive Team twice.

Howard was drafted 5th overall in the 2014 WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever. Throughout her career, this renowned forward has captured three WNBA championships and was honoured as the Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. She has also enjoyed success overseas, raining Euroleague champion and the Turkish League championship in 2023 while playing for Fenerbahçe Women’s Basketball in Europe. As of August 2024, she is averaging 16.4 points, 3.1 assists, and 7.3 rebounds per game.

As of the 2024 season, Howard plays for the Dallas Wings. Last year in 2023 she was traded from The New York Liberty as a three-team deal.

Howard started her WNBA journey at the Indiana Fever as a rookie in 2014 where she averaged 7.0 points per game. After full two seasons playing at Indiana Fever, she was traded to the Minnesota Lynx in a sign-and-trade deal in 2016. In Lynx jersey, she played two seasons where she won her first WNBA championship in 2017.

In 2018 again Howard was traded to the Seattle Storm and here she won her 2nd and 3rd WNBA championship.

From college to the WNBA, Howard played as a forward in the team. At 6 foot 2 inches tall, she played both sides of the floor and she moved very quickly in court which helped to defend others. She won 2-time WNBA All-Defensive First Team in 2018 and 2019 from which she became WNBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. In the 2024 season, she averaged 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks per game playing for the Dallas Wings team as a power forward as of August 2024.
