Natisha Hiedeman is a professional basketball player in the WNBA for the Minnesota Lynx and an assistant coach for Pennsylvania State University. Hiedeman is 5 feet 8 inches tall and has been a great asset to the team because of her ability to play in multiple positions. She was selected 18th overall in the 2nd round of the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx but was traded to the Connecticut Sun on draft night in exchange for Lexie Brown. While playing for the Sun, Hiedeman developed a reputation for her shooting and defensive skills that helped the team a lot. She came back to Lynx in 2024.

Hiedeman’s journey to the WNBA started at Marquette University where she had a successful college stint. She was awarded the Big East Player of the Year in 2019 and ranked third in Marquette’s all-time scoring list when she left college. Hiedeman plays in various international leagues during the WNBA off-season and she has also played in Russia and Israel.

She averaged 17.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game during the 2018-2019 season, leading her team to a Big East regular-season title. Additionally, she finished her college career ranked sixth on Marquette’s all-time assist chart, highlighting her versatility and playmaking skills.

Natisha Hiedeman High School

Natisha Hiedeman was a solid high school player for Green Bay Southwest High School in Wisconsin. She was an active player who loved scoring and within a short period she was recognized as one of the best players in Green Bay Metro. Hiedeman was given the nickname “T-Spoon”, in reference to the former WNBA player Teresa Weatherspoon because of her dribbling skills. In her high school, she was the leading scorer in the Green Bay Metro area and in her senior year she scored 25.6 points per game. Her scoring ability was supported by her rebounding, with an average of 7.6, and in addition, she averaged 4.5 assists and 3.7 steals per game.

However, basketball was not the only success of Hiedeman in high school. She was also an accomplished track and field participant, who set school records in triple jump, high jump, long jump and 100 meters hurdles. Her physical abilities and desire to win helped her excel in multiple sports and become a popular candidate for college basketball teams.
