Kiyan Anthony — the son of 10-time NBA All-Star, Carmelo Anthony, and La La Anthony — was asked about his GOAT picks in the NBA and WNBA. The question was asked as part of a rapid fire interview conducted by SLAM magazine, who asked Kiyan a series of basketball-related questions.
Kiyan named both LeBron James and Michael Jordan as his NBA GOATs. Meanwhile, he hailed Candace Parker as the best women's basketball player of all time.
His pick for the WNBA's GOAT earned a response from Parker herself, who gave a shoutout to Melo and La La in the comment section of Kiyan's video.
"Way to raise him right @carmeloanthony @lala ❤️❤️❤️🤞," Parker said.
Considering how Parker's career went, many would likely agree with Kiyan's take.
Parker turned pro in 2008 after being selected by the LA Sparks with the first overall pick in the WNBA draft. In her rookie season, she won both the Rookie of the Year and the MVP honors. This marked the start of a storied career for Parker.
She went on to receive another MVP award in 2013, as well as the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2020. She was a seven-time All-Star and has won three championships for three different teams.
Her first championship was in 2016 as a member of the Sparks, the team that drafted her. In 2021, she won a championship with the Chicago Sky. Two years later, she won another chip; but this time, it was with the Las Vegas Aces.
Parker announced her retirement from professional basketball in a heartfelt Instagram post just before the 2024 season began.

Kiyan Anthony shares his prediction for who would win the 2024 WNBA championship
In the same interview with SLAM, where Kiyan named Parker as the GOAT, he was also asked who he thinks will win the WNBA championship this year. Without hesitation, he picked the Las Vegas Aces.
The Aces currently have the fourth-best record among all teams (21-12). This is nowhere near what the Aces have gotten used to in terms of standings since they've finished as the number one team in each of the last four seasons.
However, it is still a solid record that has allowed them to clinch an early playoff spot.
The Las Vegas Aces have the championship experience, but they might also have a target painted on their backs. After all, they've won the last two championships and are gunning for a three-peat this year.
