In her first WNBA season, Angel Reese continues to put up historic rebounding numbers. Praise for her latest feat warranted a response from one of the NBA's top rebounding bigs.

Over the weekend, Reese and the Sky had a thrilling matchup against A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces. The rookie forward put together an impressive outing, notching 11 points and 22 rebounds. However, Chicago still went on to lose to the defending champs by a final score of 77-75.

This game marked Angel Reese's third consecutive 20-rebound game. ESPN went on to make a post about this stat, claiming that she and Ben Wallace are the only players to pull off this feat in the last 50 years. Andre Drummond ended up re-posting this, citing that they forgot to mention him.

At his peak, Drummond was a multi-time All-Star and rebounding champion. The most he ever averaged in a single season was 16.

As for his 20-rebound streak, Drummond matched this streak and one-upped it. While still with the Detroit Pistons, he managed to come down with 20+ boards in four straight games. His single-game high during this streak was 24 rebounds.

Over a decade into his NBA career, Drummond is still an elite-level rebounder. Last season for the Chicago Bulls, he grabbed 26 rebounds in one game, his highest since 2018.

Angel Reese claps back at critics during 20-rebound game streak

Even though Angel Reese is putting up numbers never seen before by a rookie, she is still receiving her fair share of criticism. After her performance against the Las Vegas Aces, she took to social media to respond to those speaking lowly of what she's doing on the basketball court.

Reese's response to the critics was simple. She stated that if what she was doing was so easy, every player would be doing it.

Along with adding to her 20-rebound game streak, Angel Reese's outing against the Aces added to her double-double total as well. The Sky rookie has 22 for the season, tying the record for most by a rookie. Still with a handful of games to go in the regular season, Reese could end up etching her name in the history books.

Achievements like this are why many people believe Reese belongs in the Rookie of the Year conversation with Caitlin Clark. One way for her to strengthen her case is by leading Chicago to the postseason. At the moment, they hold possession of the eighth and final playoff spot.
