Las Vegas Aces player A'ja Wilson wished Jayson Tatum's kid Deuce a happy birthday on her Instagram story on Friday. The son of the Boston Celtics star celebrated his seventh birthday on Dec, 6.

Wilson posted a photo of herself with the younger Tatum while they were in Paris for the 2024 Olympics. In her post, Wilson gave Tatum's kid a four-word greeting to celebrate his birthday. The two-time MVP posted it on her Instagram stories for her followers to see.

A'ja Wilson shared her secret handshake with Deuce during the Olympics

Deuce watched the entire action from the front row during the most recent Olympic games. His father was a reserve for the national team, and he supported him. The younger Tatum, who is already well-known among Boston Celtics supporters, had the opportunity to engage with other athletes.

During one of Deuce's interactions with the seven-year-old, A'ja Wilson developed an interest in him. The two became close, even shaking hands in private. However, once Wilson shared the handshake on her Instagram (eighth slide), it was no longer as mysterious.

Wilson posted the handshake footage on her Instagram story to send a special greeting to Tatum's son.

A'ja Wilson's Aces teammate to be selected by the WNBA's expansion team

The Golden State Valkyries have made it official by selecting their first two players, Kate Martin and Kayla Thornton, The Athletic confirmed on Friday. Martin played her first WNBA season with the Aces and developed a close relationship with their franchise star, Wilson.

The two athletes even created a unique handshake.

Martin was selected by the Aces as their 18th pick in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Despite her limited playing time and production on the court, Martin was still valued by the team and fans. During her rookie year, she was the victim of a team prank when they pretended the bus took off with the entire team without her.

Martin played 34 games for the Aces in her first year, averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 assists.
