A'ja Wilson, a two-time champion, initially signed with Nike in May 2024 when she became one of the brand's signature athletes.

A'ja Wilson’s new Nike deal comes after historic WNBA season
By the time the 2024 season began, A'ja Wilson had already solidified her superstar status in the WNBA with two MVP and two Defensive Player of the Year awards under her belt.
However, she reached even greater heights this year, setting new personal bests for single-season points and rebounds, while also leading the league in blocks.
Wilson surpassed Jewell Loyd’s scoring record and became the first WNBA player to score over 1,000 points in a season. She also set the single-season rebounding record, surpassing Angel Reese.
She wrapped up the season with 1,021 points and 451 rebounds, achieving a record 26.9 points per game, marking the highest season scoring average in WNBA history.
In the 2024 regular season, Wilson was named Kia WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month four times and earned Player of the Week honors six times.
She made her sixth WNBA All-Star Game appearance and led Team USA to a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, where she was named the MVP of the tournament.
Wilson is now the fourth player in WNBA history to win three MVPs, joining Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie and Lauren Jackson.
