This season, A'ja Wilson has arguably been the most dominant player in the WNBA. Potentially on her way to another MVP award, the Las Vegas Aces star finds herself in the middle of dating rumors.
On Wednesday morning, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo received the key to the city of Miami. There were numerous big-name people in attendance, with Wilson being among the most notable.
After this sly comment from the city official, speculation was fueled of A'ja Wilson possibly being in a romantic relationship with Adebayo. Among those adding fuel to the fire was fellow Aces player Sydney Colson. She made a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the event.
At the time this is being written, it has not been confirmed if Wilson is dating the Heat big man. It is worth noting that both players are fresh off winning gold medals for Team USA in the Summer Olympics, where they were seen together.
Aside from rumors regarding her personal life, Wilson is trying to lead the Aces to a three-peat. This season, she is posting averages of 27.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists. With the handful of games left on the schedule, Las Vegas currently sits in fourth place with a 21-12 record.
WNBA and NBA players respond to Sydney Colson's post regarding A'ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo
As if Sydney Colson stirring the pot about A'ja Wilson wasn't enough, multiple players flooded the comment section of her post. Along with another Aces player reacting, so did an NBA All-Star.
Among those in the comment section was fellow gold medalist Chelsea Gray. She found Colson's jab at Wilson to be comical.
Another notable name found under this post was Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star Donovan Mitchell. He too found the post hysterical, simply posting a series of crying emojis.
Gray is in her fourth season with the Aces after coming over from the LA Sparks. She was named an All-Star for the sixth time in her career this year while putting up averages of 7.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists.
As for Mitchell, he has been one of the most talked about players in the NBA over the past year. There were endless rumors regarding him and his future in Cleveland, but he finally put them to rest. In July, Mitchell agreed to terms on a three-year extension worth $150 million to remain with the Cavaliers.
