Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson received the 2024 Dawn Staley Community and Leadership Award for her philanthropic activities. The Aces Center is the founder of the A'ja Wilson Foundation, which helps children who suffer from bullying and dyslexia. Wilson founded it in 2019, and since then, it has helped many children across the nation.
Last year, Wilson's foundation hosted multiple events in Columbia, South Carolina, to donate school supplies to the needy ahead of the start of the academic session. Her foundation also hosted the Unapologetic Girls Summit, which aimed to empower young girls and educate them about the importance of mental illness, financial literacy and more.
Wilson shouted out her former coach Dawn Staley on X, formerly Twitter, on receiving the award named after her.

The Aces star is having an incredible season this year. She is averaging 26.8 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists with an average game time of 34.1 minutes.
