Las Vegas Aces star Sydney Colson is slated to appear on VH1 show "Wild 'N Out" as team captain along with Chance the Rapper and Lil' Kim. Colson made the announcement with a post on her Instagram as she called on her fans to get tickets for the live show at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday.
"Trading my Aces jersey for a Wild ‘N Out mic for the night! 🏀🎤 So hyped to be team captain for @wildnoutlivetour tomorrow night! 🎉 Chance & Lil Kim will be on stage so u know it’s gonna be crazy! Pumped to be a @vegas ambassador, let’s get wild! Get your tickets ASAP! 🏃🏾🏃🏾♀️🎟️," Colson captioned the post.
This is not the first time that the comedy sketch show has had WNBA players as guests. "Wild N' Out" previously had Sydney Colson's teammate Kelsey Plum and former teammate Dearica Hamby as co-captains in Season 17.
The show's creator, Nick Cannon, is set to host the "Wild 'N Out Live: The Final Lap Tour" at MGM Arena on Sunday to celebrate 20 years of the urban comedy series.
Sydney Colson shares fan's roast of her Olympic performance
Sydney Colson constantly highlights her sense of humor on social media platforms and frequently takes friendly jabs. Just over a week ago, she was on the receiving end of a fan's friendly hit at her that highlighted her contribution to Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
However, Colson was not a part of the USA women's basketball team for the Olympics. The fan's post on X, formerly Twitter, called out Colson on her jokes and roasting stats instead, as she laughed off the jab and reshared it.
"Naw u funny ah for this 😂," Colson tweeted.
This came after the two-time WNBA champion called out the USA women's basketball team as "fake" as she shared her teammate A'ja Wilson's Instagram story that featured a snap of the team following their gold medal win. With the X post, Colson sarcastically highlighted that the Olympic team is temporary.
"'Whatta groupppp' 🙄 some sh*t just fake to me," Colson wrote.
A'ja Wilson played along with Sydney Colson's sarcastic post as she responded:
“jealously is just love and hate at the same time,” Wilson tweeted.
Since regrouping after the Olympics, the Las Vegas Aces have won three of their seven matchups and are currently tied with the Seattle Storm for the fourth spot in the WNBA standings with a 19-12 record. They will play against the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday, while Sydney Colson may not play in the game as she will feature on the "Wild N' Out" tour around the same time.
