"Ain't no animosity" - Cheryl Miller claims Caitlin Clark & Angel Reese on same team 'shattered narratives' about their rivalry

People have tried to pit Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese against each other even though they have said there's no animosity towards one another. Women's basketball legend Cheryl Miller watched firsthand how Clark and Reese interacted with each other during the WNBA All-Star weekend.

During an interview on "The Mark Jackson Show," Miller shared what she saw while being the coach of the WNBA All-Star team. After saying that Reese's mentality reminded her of Dennis Rodman, Miller showered her and Clark with praise:

"Those two being on the floor shattered whatever narrative people were trying to push. Ain't no animosity. I mean, it was fun while it lasted, but these guys, all they want to do is win. And seeing them interact off the court and shoot around and everything else, it was fun, it was a lot of fun; it was such a blessing to be a part of it."

Despite being two of the best rookies the WNBA has seen in 27 years of history, some people insist on pushing a rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, even if they say they are cool with each other.

Nancy Lieberman blames 'keyboard warriors' for trying to fabricate a rivalry between Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese

Another women's basketball legend, Nancy Lieberman, accused social media of trying to push a false rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. During the Sept. 2 episode of the Stephen A. Smith show, Lieberman called out the 'keyboard warriors', blaming them of trying to stir animosity between the star rookies.

“If you're talking about the keyboard warriors, who hide behind their 280 (characters) ... First of all, they don't even realize that the players in this league are friends with one another. So you might sit there and try to create this animosity, or you might try to bring in well, racism and this, and there's no racism,” she said. [22:15 mark]

“They're trying to pit Angel and Caitlin against each other. They're friends, by the way, they're helping grow the sport.”

Angel Reese once again said in her 'Unapologetically Angel' podcast that she doesn't hate Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever rookie doesn't have anything against her. She added that it's her fans who have been after her despite being on friendly terms with the No. 1 overall pick.

They are competing for the 2024 Rookie of the Year award while trying to compete with their squads in the playoffs, and fans should enjoy their games instead of engaging in pointless discussions.
