In a matter of weeks, Aliyah Boston will make her debut in the inaugural season of Unrivaled, a 3x3 full-court league. Boston is seemingly delighted to take part in this new venture, as evident by her recent Instagram story.

In a short clip posted on Saturday, the Indiana Fever forward is shown getting her hair done prior to a photoshoot for Unrivaled:

"Ateee the hair up," wrote Boston in her caption.

The 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year is one of 36 athletes who'll be competing in the first season of Unrivaled. Other players on the Unrivaled roster include Sabrina Ionescu, Angel Reese, DiJonai Carrington and Kate Martin.

Co-founded by WNBA vets Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart — who will both be playing in the league as well — Unrivaled offers a platform for WNBA players to hone and showcase their talents in the offseason.

Heading into Unrivaled, Aliyah Boston is working on her game

Boston, whose commitment to join Unrivaled was announced last October, is coming off her sophomore season with the Fever. Though her scoring production and field goal percentage are down compared to her rookie year, Boston showed improvement in the rebounding and assists categories.

Boston is clearly determined to sharpen as many facets of her game as she can. Even before the Unrivaled season tips off, she's been putting in hard work under the watchful eye of a new mentor figure.

Before 2024 came to a close, Boston shared a clip of a workout session with Keith Porter, the newly hired Indiana Fever player development coach:

"Keith is the real deal!" Boston's caption read. "great work"

The clip shows Porter helping Boston fine-tune her shooting form, footwork, and ability to elude defenders. Throughout the various drills that Porter assigned, Boston appeared focused on executing every movement to perfection.

Porter is not the only new face on the Fever bench heading into the 2025 WNBA season. Back in November, the Fever organization announced that Stephanie White would be having a second stint as head coach. During her introductory presser, White had high praise for both Boston and sensational rookie Caitlin Clark:

"These two [Boston and Clark] are the best. They are gonna go down as the greatest," White said.

Boston will certainly want to reward her new head coach's trust. Her hard work in the offseason — including her stint with Unrivaled — will go a long way in that process.
