After missing her first attempt, Courtney Williams made a three while getting fouled with just over five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to level the score at 83-83. She then made the crucial free throw to put the Minnesota Lynx up by one against the New York Liberty.
Following the four-point play, Breanna Stewart was fouled on the other end, resulting in two free-throw attempts for the Liberty with under a second left in the game. Stewart made the first to tie the game and missed the game-winning second attempt to send the contest to overtime.
