The Indiana Fever had a team-building activity during practice on Tuesday, with Caitlin Clark leading her group to a home run derby win. Teammate Aliyah Boston, who was in the other group, tried to discredit the rookie on social media.

The Fever squad was divided into two teams and played against each other in a home run derby-style competition. It was an intense battle with some trash talk coming from both sides. It even bled into the comments section, where the Iowa product tagged Boston to continue bragging about her team's win.

Here's the exchange between the star rookie guard and the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year:

"@aliyah.boston thoughts on this video?" Clark asked.
"@caitlinclark22 you had 800 more attempts than the next person 😂😂 I’m winning the next one tho," Boston replied.

Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and the rest of the Indiana Fever have been busy preparing for the second half of the season since last week. The Fever had a rough start to the campaign but turned things around to finish the first half of the season strongly.

Indiana has an 11-15 record, which is good for seventh in the WNBA. It still needs to improve on a lot of things, so team-building activities would help. Clark has done a wonderful job finding her teammates all season, and their bonds will get stronger as the season progresses.

Boston also had a tough first few weeks before bouncing back and stamping herself as one of the best players in the league. They both played for Team WNBA in the All-Star Game, beating Team USA with ease.

Indiana Fever head coach gives update on Caitlin Clark

Christie Sides was on the hot seat to start the season, but the Indiana Fever have bounced back to move into playoff contention. Sides was asked by reporters about how Caitlin Clark spent her break, and the Fever coach explained that the hiatus helped re-energize the rookie guard.

"Yeah, I think just the rest. I think she was able to get her legs under her. You know, she's hitting shots.
"She's been going since her college season started last year, so just for her to get that rest, she didn't tell me she did a lot, so you just like put it out there," Sides said.

One of the things Clark struggled with in the first half of the season was her shooting so the break might have done the trick. She will have an opportunity to test her shot when the Fever return to action on Aug. 16 against the Phoenix Mercury.
