Two-time WNBA All-Star Aliyah Boston sent a message to her fans after the Indiana Fever released their schedule for next season on Monday.
In her Instagram stories, Boston shared the Fever's schedule that starts at home in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on May 17 against Angel Reese's Chicago Sky.
The final game of the regular season is also at home against the Minnesota Lynx on Sept. 9. Boston delivered a message to hype up fans for the upcoming season.
"The Fev show will be returning soon," Boston wrote.
The promotional poster featured Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, the three best players for the Indiana Fever last season. Clark and Boston were named All-Stars, while Mitchell had a career year.
With Mitchell entering free agency, it's surprising to see her heavily featured on the Fever's social media. Nevertheless, it's a good sign for fans who want to see her back in Indiana. The team's president, Kelly Krauskopf, told the Locked on Women's Basketball podcast that they are planning to "core" Mitchell.
"She's our number one priority," Krauskopf said, according to Sports Illustrated. "Yes, we have the opportunity to core her. And it would be sort of irresponsible for me if we didn't utilize that opportunity."
If Mitchell gets the core designation, the Fever can bring her back with a one-year, super max deal worth $249,244. Since Clark and Boston are still on their rookie contracts, the team can use the core designation with other important players.
The Fever have some tough decisions to make ahead of the 2024 Expansion Draft. They have to protect six players from the Golden State Valkyries, who are set to enter the league next season.
