NaLyssa Smith of the Indiana Fever is playing in China during the WNBA offseason. Smith is in her first stint in the Women's CBA and is signed to the Zhejiang Golden Bulls. She was impressed by the country's robot delivery system.
Smith finished her third season with the Fever on a disappointing note, getting limited minutes in their only two games of the playoffs. There were questions about his future, especially with the upcoming expansion draft for the Golden State Valkyries.
However, Smith can worry about that later as she focuses on her overseas career. She's staying at a hotel in China and was surprised by the country's delivery system using robots. She shared a snap of it on Instagram.
"America could never," Smith wrote.

NaLyssa Smith and the Zhejiang Golden Bulls are set to make their season debut on Saturday against the Heilongjiang Shandong. Smith previously played overseas for Galatasaray in Turkey.
Her stint in China had a jittery start after getting involved in an on-court scuffle during a preseason game. She got entangled with a player during a rebound play, where she got shoved. She pulled the opponent's arms before the ball bounced into her.
Smith wasn't finished as she threw the ball to the player's legs, causing a commotion. The two players almost got into it, as both were ready to unload their hands. Luckily, teammates and coaching staff from both sides prevented a melee.
According to Sports Illustrated, seven technical fouls were called during the preseason games as tempers flared after the Smith incident. It will be interesting to see if the Oregon product can keep her cool to start the WCBA season.
NaLyssa Smith casts doubts about her future with Indiana
Speaking to reporters during her exit interview in September, NaLyssa Smith cast some doubts about her future with the Indiana Fever. Smith expressed her disappointment with how she was utilized by coach Christie Sides during the postseason.
"Everybody comes into the season thinking they're going to have this outstanding accolade, achievement, you know, season," Smith said, according to the Indy Star.
"I feel like I didn't get to do as much as I wanted to do. I didn't get to contribute as much as I want to contribute."
The Fever can only protect six players in the expansion draft. Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull are potential locks. Temi Fagbenle could be another player, with the final spot possibly between NaLyssa Smith and Damiris Dantas.
The decision depends on newly signed coach Stephanie White, who replaced Christie Sides. White was a former Fever player, assistant coach and coach and is originally from Indiana.
