Angel Reese's Rose Basketball Club's coach Nola Henry has been hired as the assistant coach of the Dallas Wings. While Reese is happy for her Unrivaled league coach, she found it hard to hold her ultra-competitive nature, leading to a friendly banter between the Chicago Sky star and the Wings' social media team.
On the team's Instagram handle, the Dallas social media made a welcome post dedicated to its new assistant coach. The post also hyped up Henry by posting her career achievements and a statement of respect from Wings head coach Chris Koclanes.
Angel Reese joined others to congratulate her Unrivaled coach but didn't forget to hype up her own team.
"congratssss but go sky," Reese wrote.
The Sky star received a quick reply from the social media team of the Wings, who are worth $208 million (according to Sports Business Journal). They, in turn, wished her good luck in Unrivaled but hyped up the Wings.
"@angelreese5 good luck at unrivaled with Coach Nola but go wings," the Wings' social media wrote.
Nola Henry has a great track record in the WNBA. She was an assistant coach for the LA Sparks in 2024, following her role as a player development coach a year before. A former college basketball player at Massachusetts, Henry also worked as an assistant basketball operations manager for the Connecticut Sun.
Angel Reese and Unrivaled Rose BC show their fun dance moves during practice
Angel Reese and the Rose Basketball Club have been pure entertainment for basketball fans as they prepare for the inaugural season of the Unrivaled league. From friendly banters on social media to shenanigans inside the training room, they have gelled as good as any other team present in Miami.
The latest video of the team that has been circulating among fans is from their practice facility. A video posted by a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed the Rose BC players showing their dance moves.
While the music played in the practice facility, the camera moved from one player to another, and each showed their dance moves to Megan Thee Stallion's last year's release "Mamushi" song.
The camera moved from Brittney Sykes to Angel Reese and then to Kahleah Cooper and Chelsea Gray.
The Rose BC is one of the six teams in the Unrivaled league and will play its first game against the Vinyl BC on the opening night on Friday at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
