Angel Reese will have a new hair look as she competes in the first season of Unrivaled. The "Bayou Barbie," who will play for the Rose Basketball Club in the 3-on-3 league, is set to rock a new blonde and curly look following her Instagram deactivation to start the new year.

In a video posted by Unrivaled on Thursday, Reese was seen with the new hairdo as the players were introduced to their jerseys for the nine-week tournament set to tipoff on Jan. 17 in Miami, Florida. Reese’s appearance in the video was brief, but fans captured the moment, snapping the Chicago Sky player’s new look.

Here is Unrivaled's Instagram reel:

The new look came after Reese deactivated her Instagram account to mark the start of the new year. The Randallstown, Maryland native has long been rocking black and curly hair since her collegiate days with LSU. Even in her first season in the WNBA, Reese continued the look on her way to becoming one of the biggest stars in women’s basketball today.

It will be Angel Reese’s first offseason following a successful rookie year, which saw her set new league records and finish as runner-up to Caitlin Clark in the Rookie of the Year race. Clark and Reese were also the two rookies named to the WNBA All-Star team last year.

Reese will be teaming up with Las Vegas Aces’ Chelsea Gray, Phoenix Mercury’s Kahleah Cooper, Washington Mystics’ Brittney Sykes, Indiana Fever’s Lexie Hull and LA Sparks’ Azura Stevens for the inaugural season of the Unrivaled league. They will be coached by Nola Henry.

Reese is one of the biggest names signed in Unrivaled, which was co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, who will also play in the tournament.

Angel Reese aims to be a billionaire this year

As one of the stars in the league, Angel Reese is expected to take a higher salary in Unrivaled, which will pay players an average of $222,222 for their participation. The league also announced an $8 million salary pool for players.

This pay aligns with Reese’s goals for 2025 as she revealed her vision board for the year.

“I am not a billionaire yet so we’re still working on that,” Reese said. “But my mind is still on billions so we’re still working on that.”

As a rookie last season, Reese was earning $73,439 annually on her four-year contract worth over $343,000. Last year, it was also reported that the Sky forward’s net worth is currently at $2 million. However, she refuted those claims.

According to Angel Reese, her pay from her WNBA job does not pay her rent in Chicago. But with her participation in Unrivaled, she could have more basketball salary in the coming months.
