Angel Reese shared her thoughts as she prepares for the inaugural Unrivaled League, set to be one of the most popular professional basketball leagues outside the NBA and WNBA. With some of the biggest stars in women's basketball set to suit up in the league, Unrivaled is sure to garner plenty of interest in its first season.
Headlining Rose Basketball Club is the 2024 Rookie of the Year runner-up and the No. 7 overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft, who's one of the most popular players in the WNBA, earning an All-Star selection in her first year as a pro.
Ahead of her competition debut, Reese had a cryptic message for fans in a post on X, formerly called Twitter, on Sunday.

It's uncertain what Reese is referring to, but the Chicago Sky star is set to headline the birth of a new evolution in women's basketball with the opening season of Unrivaled.
Angel Reese shares photo in Unrivaled uniform
On Saturday afternoon, Angel Reese gave fans a first look at her Rose Basketball Club uniform. She showed off her new threads with a post to X, which got fans excited.
Reese's post went viral, racking up nearly 900,000 views in the first 24 hours. As expected, she retained her signature No. 5 on her Unrivaled uniform.
Angel Reese will suit up alongside Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper, Azura Stevens and Lexie Hull, playing under coach Nola Henry. The Rose will be part of Unrivaled's double-header on opening day, taking the court in Miami, Florida on Jan. 17.
Rose Basketball Club will take on Vinyl Basketball Club at 8:15 p.m. EST, following the matchup between Mist Basketball Club and Lunar Owls Basketball Club. All Unrivaled contests will be streamed on MAX, with TNT owning the broadcasting rights for the league.
Unrivaled will follow a 3x3 format, with six players suiting up for each team. The league's schedule will run from Jan 17. to March 17, with the first Unrivaled Championship tipping off at 7:30 p.m. EST. Reese is likely to be one of Unrivaled's biggest draws, being one of the most popular players in women's basketball.
