Angel Reese highlighted her brother Julian "JuJu" Reese's latest achievement with the Maryland Terrapins. The team's official X account shared a post celebrating Julian Reese's latest double-double and the outcome of his impressive night.
He became the eighth player in Terrapins history to record 1,100 points and 800 rebounds, joining a list that included Keith Booth, a former NBA champion. Angel was excited for her brother and retweeted the post to celebrate the senior forward.
He's now joined Keith Booth, a retired small forward who won an NBA championship with the Chicago Bulls, a team he represented from 1997 through 1999.
Julian Reese is having a solid 2024-25 season, which is the second-best of his college career scoring-wise. He's averaging 12.0 points per game, 1.7 less than last season, but is shooting better (58.4% from the field against 54.6% last season and 70.2% from the free throw line against 56.8% in 2023-24) while dishing more assists (1.7 per game against 1.3) and averaging fewer turnovers (1.7 against 2.5).
He recorded 23 points and 11 rebounds in 31 minutes against Maryland Eastern Shore. He's trying his best to make an impact this season and perhaps aspire to get a shot at the NBA next year.
Angel Reese keeps sharing her preparations for Unrivaled, 2025 WNBA on social media
While her brother is playing hard with the Terrapins, Angel Reese is trying to expand her game ahead of her debut in Unrivaled and the 2025 WNBA season. The new 3-on-3 competition is set to debut in less than a month and several players are working to land in Miami in the best possible shape.
Reese isn't the exception and she's hit the gym in the past couple of weeks to work on her finishing skills near the rim and even take shots from mid and long range. On Saturday, she shared a story of her trainer with a message to her haters.
"Embracing the hate-Doing what we love..." the post read.
After a remarkable rookie season, she's ready for more and is working for it. The Chicago Sky star missed out on the playoff last season and she's not planning a repeat.
