The Chicago Sky are set to host the first-ever Barbie Game Night on Aug. 30, as part of a partnership between Mattel and Athlife.
The Sky will introduce the first edition of this game against the Indiana Fever this Friday, and their best card for this game is ready.
The Sky shared a video of Angel Reese explaining what accessories she would have if she had a Barbie doll.
"If I had a Barbie, which, you know," she said, referring to her nickname, 'Chi Barbie.' "If I had a Barbie, I'd make sure I have, like a vault of so many different clothes, like different styles of clothes. So like sporty, like super girly, maybe like edgy. So I would have, like so many different kinds of looks.
"And then I'd also have like so many different kinds of wigs," she added.
Angel Reese was nicknamed the 'Bayou Barbie' before she made it to Windy City and self-proclaimed the 'Chi Barbie.' This game is a good opportunity for her to win more fans and put on another show to continue her terrific run.
Reese has recorded three consecutive games with 20+ rebounds, even tying Shaquille O'Neal as the first NBA or WNBA rookie to post back-to-back 20-rebounds games since 1993.
Angel Reese announced her podcast is coming in September
Amid a stellar rookie season, Angel Reese announced her new venture dropping this September. Reese is already a big name off the court, and launching her podcast would add more to her fame.
The 'Unapologetically Angel' show is set to premiere on Sept. 5 and will be co-hosted by Maya Reese, a strong presence in the media after working for big outlets like NBC Sports, CBS and Overtime, among others.
"I'm super excited to be announcing my podcast 'Unapologetically Angel,' I'm looking forward to this so much. Y'all going to see y'all favorite celebrities, actress, artists, anybody that y'all wanna see.
"We going to be spilling the team from our voice, our narrative, our perspective," Reese said on an Instagram story.
Reese is one of the most entertaining players in the WNBA. While she aims to lead the Sky to the playoffs, the rookie is focusing on ambitious projects off the court.
