Angel Reese joined the back-and-forth between DiJonai Carrington and former Chicago Sky teammate Marina Mabrey about their cooking skills. A few days ago, Carrington and Mabrey had a mac and cheese “cook-off.” The two agreed to have others taste the pie and figure out who the winner would be.

On Saturday, Mabrey whipped up a crusty mac and cheese pie and shared a photo of it on X, formerly Twitter. Reese reacted to the former Sky teammate's post:

“wait… this actually looks… good?!? aye @DijonaiVictoria please go test this out for me sis.”

Mabrey responded to Reese’s ribbing:

“Or you can come test it out for yourself.”

The Carrington-Mabrey banter began roughly 10 days ago when Mabrey posted on X a photo of the seasonings she bought for cooking. Reese said that her former teammate “could do better.” Carrington went the extra mile and bought Mabrey a complete seasoning set.

Mabrey vowed to do a video of what she would cook using the seasoning DiJonai Carrington gave her. She asked Carrington on Instagram Live to taste the pasta she made.

Carrington exclaimed that the pasta “was not bad.” A few days later, they set a competition for the best mac and cheese pie. Angel Reese thought Mabrey’s work looked delicious and might taste it herself.

Angel Reese and DiJonai Carrington will square off next week in the Unrivaled

DiJonai Carrington, who plays for Mist BC, opened the Unrivaled tournament with an 84-80 loss to Napheesa Collier’s Lunar Owls BC. The Mist lost after Skylar Diggins-Smith drained back-to-back triples to make the Owls the first winner in tournament history.

Angel Reese and Rose BC opened the season with a 79-73 loss to Vinyl BC on Friday. They nearly pulled off a come-from-behind win but Dearica Hamby prevented them from doing that.

Rose squared off against the Owls on Saturday and bowed 79-70. They are now at the bottom of the standings, making it crucial for them to start winning games.

Carrington’s Mist will face Reese’s Rose in the first game of a doubleheader on Jan. 25.
